Hagarisme er et tidligere anvendt ord på islam. Det ble igjen tatt i bruk i den kontroversielle, vitenskapelige boka «Hagarism: The Making of the Islamic World» fra 1977. Boka er om Islams tidlige historie skrevet av historikerne Patricia Crone og Michael Cook.
